AGAPE Needs:

• There is a dire need for adoptive and foster parents. Please prayerfully consider meeting this need if you can. You may call the agency at 859-4481.
• Please consider being a monthly financial supporter of AGAPE. Pick up a brochure in the foyer for more details.

Benevolence Ministry:

• There is a need for clothing items at the Inner City Church of Christ. You may take these items directly to the church at Inner City. See Bro. James Williams for further details.

Special Notes:

• Volunteer Tutors are needed at the Inner City Learning Center .  See the bulletin board for more details.
• The NW COC song leaders training class is the 1^st and 3^rd Monday of each month at 6:00 P.M.
• Items are being collected for the storm victims of the recent tornado.  A list of items needed is on the bulletin board.  Please help in this effort by bringing items to the building.  They will be delivered to Mayfair or Inner City Church of Christ for distribution.  Contact Bro. Thomas Malone for further details.
• Northwest Community Day-August 27, 2011.  Save clothing items for the clothes giveaway.  See the message center for more details or see one of these sisters:  G. Branch, D. Simmons, or L. Bradford.  We will also have workshops, a blood drive, and health fair as well as evangelistic efforts that day.

Ladies News:

• All ladies (18 and older) are encouraged to register for our ninth Bi-Annual Ladies Retreat, October 7-9, 2011. Please obtain a Ladies Retreat packet from the Ladies Coordinators.

Education Ministry:

• All adults are encouraged to attend Sunday morning Bible Class. Bro. James Williams is teaching lessons from the book of Exodus.
• All parents are encouraged to bring your children to Bible Class on Sunday morning and Wednesday night. K-8 is studying from the Bible for All Ages.
• New Converts Class Sunday mornings at 9:00 A.M. meets in classroom #4.
• Lessons entitled "Our Life Together As A Church" are being studied in the Wednesday night adult class this quarter. All adults are encouraged to be present. Bro. Fred Hall is the teacher.
• The Education Department needs your help. Teachers are needed to teach at least one quarter during the year. See Bro. Reginald Alexander.
• The Tuesday Morning Adult Bible Class will not meet during the summer months.  It will begin meeting again in September.
• An Adult Class on "Dealing with Personal Faults" is being taught each 1st and 3rd Saturday by Bro. James Williams. Anyone is encouraged to attend. See Bro. Williams for questions or details.

The Elders:

• We encourage all members who are not working in one of our ministries to complete an involvement sheet. Complete a new involvement sheet only if you wish to be added to an additional ministry or change the one you are currently working with. Give your completed sheet to one of the elders.
• The elders meet at the church building on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 9:00 A.M. We are also available to meet with you by appointment. Please contact one of the elders when you need to meet with us.
• Our next song practice will be August 10, 2011.
